Microsoft has recently launched a new feature in SharePoint that simplifies page creation using Copilot. This feature utilizes generative AI and Microsoft Graph to streamline the page-building process using your existing Word, PowerPoint, PDF, and Loop documents as foundational data. The feature is designed to expedite and simplify the process while ensuring that the pages meet your organization’s standards.
Using Templates and Custom Instructions
With Copilot, you can choose from predefined designs and templates to quickly create attractive and engaging pages. You also have the option to provide specific instructions to fully customize the content to meet your needs. This enables you to create everything from newsletters and event pages to status updates and process documents.
Customizing Content with Copilot
A key aspect of Copilot is its ability to automatically suggest page titles and content based on the documents you have attached. You can also easily customize sections by modifying titles or formats. For instance, you can instruct Copilot to display content like "Upcoming Initiatives in a Table" or "Latest News in Bullet Points."
Creating Pages from Scratch
For those who want complete creative freedom, Copilot offers the ability to create pages from scratch. By using open instructions, you can provide detailed guidance to create more personalized pages. Copilot can also generate design ideas for each section and select relevant images based on the content's keywords.
Future Improvements and Availability
The feature is already available to some users and will be rolled out to all customers by the end of April 2025. Microsoft is continuously working to enhance Copilot in SharePoint, and future updates will include improved image suggestion management and the ability to use recorded meetings to generate content.
